About Me
My name is Laura (she/her) and I have grown up on the unceded Coast Salish territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. For over 15 years I have come alongside diverse populations facing a variety of life challenges. I have worked in roles as a counsellor, settlement worker, social worker, and expressive art therapist.
I am a fun loving individual who values depth of connection, adventure, and simplicity. I believe in cultivating community, advocating for social justice, and prioritizing fun. Sign me up for a good dance party or the opportunity to dress up in costumes. I have learned that silence and slowing down are good for my soul and thus I seek to carve out space for rest and creativity. I love spending time on the ocean and in the forest with family and friends.
